Staffordshire Dog Candle Pair

Note: Only Black, Rusty Red, and Green Pairs Remain. These and the other colors shown are being retired and will be replaced with the relaunch of the Staffordshire Dog Candle shape in a Jasperware Blue color in a special para-soy blend in Spring 2023.

 

The much beloved Staffordshire Dog figures, now in candle form! These beautiful creations are handmade by me in the HHC Studio and are made from high-end, private-label paraffin wax and custom colored to the five different color variations with even more colors to come in the future.

These candles are based off of genuine antique Staffordshire dogs and therefore, they reflect the same characterful imperfections of the antiques themselves; some crazing, lumps and bumps, and minor scratches. Even so, these little dogs are the most precious companions to display just about anywhere.

Each candle is finished with a foam bottom piece to protect your surface tops and with a sticker with burning instructions should you make the choice to burn your Staffordshire Dogs. Please note, because of the placement of the wick, burning your pup will mean that the face does melt, while the body of the candle will not. If monitored during burning and you keep an eye on the direction of the wick and keep it trimmed, my tests show that you will get around 4 hours of burn time (give or take, based on burning conditions) before the face melts.

Please read the warning on the bottom of the candle and practice safe burning at all times.

– Each dog is approximately 4 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 5.75 inches tall

Please note, as each piece is handmade and all electronic displays are not the same, the colors may differ a half shade or so, though I did my best to represent each color in natural and overhead light.

Shipping Notes:
– These pups will be shipped together as a set in one box, suitable for gifting. If you order additional candles or order treasures from other areas of the HHC Shop, those items will ship separately.
