I have never seen a pair of Staffordshire Spaniels quite like these special pups! These two have the appearance of being done in silver, though it is more accurate to describe them as lustreware. As seen in the photos, they can appear different colors from silver to a kind of high glaze black when in different light. It appears that at some time, they were attempted to be polished or are just worn down, with some spots of white under-paint showing through on the nose, ears, feet, back, etc. I determined when I found them that they still display very well and would be a charming addition to any Staffordshire collection. Please inspect the website listing photos closely to see examples of the condition of the dogs. As mentioned, you cannot and should not polish these dogs as they are not real silver, (though they give that beautifully patina look.)
Each dog is approximately 4.25 inches long, nearly 3.5 inches wide, and 5.75 inches tall.
