This piece is in good secondhand condition, though there are obvious signs of sun exposure to the backing along the edges, which is in blue velvet and has a zipper closure. It appears to us that a crafty and capable hand could separate and save the needlepoint and have this finished again in fresher velvet backing, though that is left to your preference.
